Condition review should move beyond a quick glance at the hour meter. Buyers should look at forks, mast, chains, tires, hydraulics, brakes, battery or fuel system, and any signs that the truck was used harder than the listing suggests.

A good conversation around condition also includes readiness for the next shift. A truck that looks acceptable but still needs charger work, attachment changes, or freight coordination may not be the fast solution it first appeared to be.

A lower equipment price does not always create the better buy. Freight, attachments, reconditioning, charger needs, and downtime risk can all change the real cost of ownership.
