Find the right forklift for your Laval operation
Cold-storage use is a specific application, not a feature that can be assumed from an electric powertrain. Describe the temperature in each zone, how long the truck stays there and how often it returns to a warmer space. Ask for the proposed truck, battery and charger arrangements to be reviewed against manufacturer limits. Include cleaning requirements and any exposure to moisture in that assessment.
What to confirm before you buy
Storage layout still sets the mechanical specification. Provide pallet design and dimensions, aisle widths, door openings and the maximum load at the highest placement point. If reach equipment is being considered, confirm compatibility with the pallets and floor conditions. For a used machine, request evidence of its configuration and a qualified inspection, including battery condition. Ask for French or English documentation requirements and transport arrangements to be confirmed in writing.
Refrigerated storage
Specify operating temperatures and dwell time so cold-store suitability can be checked for the exact model.
Warm-to-cold transfers
Describe transition frequency and moisture exposure alongside manufacturer operating and maintenance guidance.
Indoor distribution
Compare rack height, pallet compatibility and aisle dimensions with the proposed truck's working requirements.
