VALUE & CONDITION
Used forklifts in Canada
A used forklift can be a sensible way to meet a defined handling need. The useful comparison is the condition of the actual truck and its remaining service needs, together with its suitability for your site.
Tell us what you need
Inspect beyond the hour meter
Ask for dated photographs of the data plate, forks, mast, tyres, battery or engine compartment and any damage. Request service and repair records. An hour meter provides context, but a documented condition inspection and a functional assessment are more useful than age or hours alone.
Allow for the next repair
Record the condition of wear items and obtain estimates for any work identified. An electric truck with an ageing battery may need a different budget from an apparently similar machine with a recent documented battery replacement. Ask what the seller has checked, repaired or excluded from the sale.
Get an independent view
Arrange a competent inspection appropriate to the machine before a binding purchase. Any demonstration must be carried out by a trained, authorized operator in a controlled setting. Confirm included equipment, warranty if any, return terms, transport and the point at which risk transfers in writing.

03STRAIGHT ANSWERS
Questions, answered.
Is a low-hour used forklift always the better buy?
No. Application, maintenance, storage, damage and component condition can matter as much as the hour reading. Compare inspection findings and documented service history.
Does a used forklift include a battery and charger?
That depends on the individual offer. Ask for the battery specification, condition evidence, charger compatibility and electrical supply requirements in writing.
