Find the right forklift for your Hamilton operation
Dense materials can concentrate weight into a small footprint, while long stock can move the load centre farther from the carriage. Both deserve a precise specification. Give the supplier the maximum weight, dimensions, lifting points and required placement height. Include any load fixture or attachment. Confirm the capacity of the actual configuration from the appropriate plate and manufacturer information; nominal capacity by itself is not a complete buying specification.
What to confirm before you buy
For a used truck, make the inspection scope reflect the work it will perform. Ask a qualified assessor to review mast and carriage wear, hydraulics, tires, braking and the fitted attachment, alongside service records. If the receiving area is outdoors, describe paving, debris, gradients and access to the building. Compare the quote for the machine as offered, any agreed repairs and freight to the site as separate, clearly stated items.
Dense palletized goods
Include packaging and fixtures in the load weight and identify how the load is supported.
Long metal stock
Review load centre and maneuvering space for the actual stock length and lifting method.
Fabrication transfers
Describe placement accuracy, workstation access and any attachment needed for repeatable handling.
