Find the right forklift for your Surrey operation
If your operation handles lumber, building products or bulky freight, the load footprint may set the specification. Record the longest bundle, maximum weight, lifting points and available turning space. Include where the load must be placed and whether an attachment is needed. Request confirmation of capacity for that complete setup; a truck advertised for ordinary pallets may require a different configuration for long material.
What to confirm before you buy
Yard conditions should be explicit in the enquiry. Distinguish concrete, asphalt, uneven paving and unpaved ground, and describe drainage, slopes and debris. Have the equipment supplier assess the approved application and tires for those conditions. For a used machine, obtain condition evidence relevant to outdoor work and an inspection by a qualified person. Freight planning should cover gate width, transport-vehicle access and a defined unloading method at the receiving site.
Building-product bundles
Specify length and weight together, including the intended fork engagement and placement location.
Mixed freight receiving
List palletized loads and awkward crates separately to avoid sizing every task from a standard pallet.
Outdoor yards
Provide route photographs and ground conditions for an equipment-category and tire suitability review.
